Sharing Art School Lessons & New Art Supplies to New Hope Girls in the Dominican Republic

I would love for you to get to know the story of NEW HOPE GIRLS. You can click on the link to discover what an amazing ministry this is. And I need your help SHARING the love of ART with this home and their girls! New Hope’s tagline is “Created for More” and we couldn’t agree more.

My beautiful sister is here in the studio translating our Art School lessons into Spanish for these beautiful girls miles and miles away. Sister Emily is a high school Spanish teacher (and an artist!), and she’s visiting from Georgia with her heart of gold. She’s tithing her time (translating) to give New Hope Girls a chance to CREATE at their home in the Dominican Republic. Translating has taken her hours and hours, but we have had so much fun in the studio together… laughing too much!

I’ve gotten to know Joy, New Hope Girls’ founder, through my friend Tricia Robinson. Joy’s life is giving new life to the girls at New Hope. There’s so much more to share, I’d love for you to check out more of their story.

Soooo… here’s where I would love your help!

You may already know, but 10% of all the Studio’s income goes to a non-profit close to our hearts. We have donated to New Hope Girls in the past, but now we’re beginning a big project: Sharing Art School and Art Supplies with their girls.

Today, we are ordering and shipping NEW ART SUPPLIES to New Hope Girls, so that all the girls there can CREATE and LEARN whenever they want to. Some supplies will be available for the artists right away, and some supplies will be included in their individual Christmas presents this year. Right now there are 25 girls at New Hope… and they’ve got room for more. New Art Supplies shipped to the DR include:

  • Tempera Cake Pans

  • Paintbrushes

  • Sulphite Drawing Paper (9x12 & 12x18)

  • Oil Pastels, Colored Pencils, Markers, Sharpies, and Crayons

  • Mini Sketchbooks

There is also a cost to translating lessons (not sweet Emily’s time… she’s doing that out of her own heart). The Rev.com software used to create Spanish subtitles per minute has been an added expense, but well worth this endeavor.

If you feel led to help with this project, sharing Art School through both Translation and Art Supplies being sent to New Hope Girls, please click on the button below.

Please note: donating directly to Liza does not allow for a tax-deductible contribution (I’m not set up as a charitable entity). 100% of your donation to the studio is tagged and goes towards the art supplies shipped and the cost of Rev.com.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to New Hope Girls instead, please donate directly on the yellow button below. You can also shop their beautiful bags below.

Thank you for encouraging your own kids’ creative journeys, and thanks for considering being a part of this project! Y’all inspire me!
