Ages 8-12 Homeschool Art - Winter Session

Homeschool Art - Winter Session

  • Ages 8-12

  • Tuesday afternoons, 12:00-1:30pm

  • 8 week session*

I am so excited to journey with your child through their art education!

During the first half of our Winter Session, artists will be participating in the Rosemary Beach Foundation’s Music in Pictures program. Children will be listening to classical musical, and creating artwork based on what they visualize! RBF has personally invited our homeschool classes to participate in this arts curriculum. We will continue to discuss and learn about the elements of art while creating our artworks. Each work will be highly personal and individualized. Your child’s artwork could be chosen to be shown in a gallery setting locally. Last year’s artworks were shown at the Walton County Library, Sacred Heart Hospital, and Amavida Coffee in Rosemary Beach. We are honored and pleased to take part in this phenomenal program that integrates the arts.

1.5 hour classes will include a balance of art history and fundamentals, instructional technique, and process/discovery creating. This class is for ages 8-12 year olds (age as of 01/01/2019).

$200 for eight-week term includes all supplies and instruction. Classes will be held in the artist’s working studio located in Point Washington, Santa Rosa Beach. 12 students per class. A wait list will be available.

*8-week Winter Session includes the following Tuesdays :

01/15, 01/22, 01/29, 02/05, 02/12, 02/19, 02/26, and 03/05.

FOUR terms will be offered for the 2018/2019 school year: Fall “A”/Fall “B”/Winter/Spring. Each term will build upon the previous term.

Please note this will not be a “product based” class series (Summer Art Camp in the studio is product-based). Yes, your child will bring home incredible art, but classes will be more focused on art instruction and education. We will be working with field journals throughout the year.
